1951 Monarch Pass, Name That Car!
The woody has been identified, but what about the other car?
This postcard provided the key to dating another image that was already held within the archives.
The vehicle on the right is a Pontiac Streamliner from 1949 or later. They were made in several different models, including the woody that is shown here. Can you identify the vehicle on the left?
Below is an enlarged image of that car.
This postcard can be dated based on the license plates—both of which have a 1951 designation on them. It is an unidentical twin to another from the same day that was already added to the archives. They are seen together in the photo below. That other postcard can now also be dated to 1951.

100+ Years on Monarch Pass
The summit of this pass has moved several times as the route has changed over the last century. The oldest photo in the archives is from 1918.

The car is either a 1947 or 1948 ford sedan, they both used the same chrome badge bar on the trunk
