Cataloged: 1987–88 Keystone + Arapahoe Basin Multiday Lift Ticket
Another multiday lift ticket from the 1987–88 ski season has been cataloged into the archives.
This ticket would have been valid for skiing at Keystone or Arapahoe Basin. At the time, both resorts were owned by Ralston Purina. In 1997, Vail Resorts acquired Ralston Purina’s ski assets, which included Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, and Breckenridge.
Arapahoe Basin has had an on-and-off ticket relationship with the other two resorts since then, sometimes offering combo lift tickets, sometimes not. The ski area was purchased by Alterra in 2024. Ikon Pass holders will now have unlimited access to A-Basin during the upcoming ski season.

North Peak was never a separate resort. This name may have been included on the ticket as a bit of marketing, but this is also an example of how verbiage and ski culture have changed. Arapahoe Basin had a similar branding approach to their upper mountain area during the 1950s. The image below comes from this slide in the collection. The sign in the back mentions ‘Arapahoe Basin and Norway Mt. Chair Lifts.’
