Free Colorado National Parks Admission & More Updates
In this week's newsletter: A stamped Pikes Peak souvenir ticket from 1922, free admission to Colorado's national parks, and weekend events in the mountains.
Cataloged into the archives this week: a 1922 souvenir toll road ticket from Pikes Peak. These were stamped at the summit for those who made the journey. It’s possible that they were given away, but they were most likely sold to tourists.

The photo below shows one of the entry tickets (left), which would have been purchased somewhere around Manitou Springs or Colorado Springs to gain access to the highway. That ticket would have gotten you onto the road, but these were not usually retained, so they are much rarer.
