1972 Denver & Rio Grande Locomotive #1 Centennial Medal
This proof-quality bronze medal, another recent addition to the collection, was made by the National Railroad Historical Association. It celebrates the narrow-gauge railroad that ran between Denver and Pueblo, as well as The Montezuma—one of four locomotives that were owned by the Denver & Rio Grande and built especially for narrow-gauge railroad tracks like this.
