Ski Resort Closing Dates, 1922 & 1981 Pikes Peak Toll Road Tickets

The Colorado toll road ticket collection has grown again this week. A pair of Pikes Peak souvenir tickets from 1922 was catalogued, in addition to a toll receipt from 1981.



There were already a few 1922 toll road tickets in the collection, but none like these. The styling is different and the border is different. The others are from September and October, while these are from June. See the comparison below.
The 1981 receipt might be the most mundane thing in the archives, but at least we know how much it cost to drive up the Pikes Peak Highway during the 1980s now.

Buttermilk had hoped to make it through April 5th, but has now closed for the season due to lack of snow. An updated list of ski resort closing dates can be seen below.
