This slide from Wolf Creek Pass in 1961 was scanned and added to the archive this week.

Most of the early Continental Divide signs in Colorado were installed and maintained by the highway department, but the U.S. Forest Service began adding new signs like this one during the second half of the 1950s.

This image includes the boulder that once held the Wolf Creek summit plaque, but the plaque is missing here. It appears to have been refurbished and reinstalled in this slide from 1963.
