This 1957 film comes from a lot within the Coloradotopia Archives Collection, which contains a total of four film reels. Most of the footage on this film is from Loveland Ski Area, which was simply referred to as Loveland Basin at the time. There is also footage from the Red Rocks Amphitheater, and a backyard in Lakewood, CO (Denver).

Why buy them? I was hoping to find footage of the Continental Divide signs for the collection that is built here. The collection already had hundreds of photos, slides, photo negatives, postcards etc. I wanted to add ‘motion film’ onto that list. This batch of 4 films had some promising scribbling on the boxes, so I decided to gamble and see what was contained on these.
